In 1977, he formed his own company while remaining true to the values learned from his father. His has been a journey of building strong and lasting relationships both through business and through community service. Morris has served on the boards for numerous organizations including the Missouri Builder's Association (he was the first Association President elected from Southwest Missouri), the Springfield Building Trades Board, Springfield Contractors Association, Easter Seals, Big Brothers-Big Sisters, and the Developmental Center of the Ozarks along with many other non-profit organizations. He was also on the board for the Missouri One-Call program and was selected to serve on the Federal Task Force in Washington D.C., formed to implement various community outreach programs to emphasize the possible dangers of digging and to inform the public of the new One-Call System.

"We believe in constructing a project that makes our clients proud. You do that by listening to the client, understanding their goals and working within their budget."

Debbie Dock is the Chief Operations and Financial Officer for MoDoCo. Graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in biology and chemistry, joining MoDoCo in 1982 was definitely a major career change. Her strong analytical and math skills have made her the "details" person in the organization. Debbie manages the administrative and financial aspects of the business. She is involved in each project from initial contracts, job costing and budgets to project closeout - ensuring that the resources necessary are available when needed.

"One of the most important phases of a construction project is the pre-construction phase.

Pre-planning, contract administration, budgeting and other "behind the scenes" work are crucial to the overall success of a project."
